Why Does Cigarette Smoke And Mold Bother Me

Monday to surprise .... almost 30km!

the lake and the Monte Baldo seen from the path of Ponale .

the gps with the miles marked. 27.12 km!

we decided on Monday to make our tours below our special, because everyone was fine .. anto closed the shop, mara and Mauro Chisu the pizza, Nairobi had no laps to go, Mark had little to do in the residence ..... then came July and we stayed three we ... mum, Carla and Brii ..

we decided to go anyway, even alone know our territory ...

is from April to every (or almost) on Sunday, I
Navene-Torbole ... beautiful walks half-binding (Navene-Storm) and then with the simple end (Storm-Torbole) 411 steps up to do ..!

every Sunday with tourists, I stopped to contemplate the other side ...
the rock wall between Val di Ledro Riva-and Lemon-Pregasina

Brescia side of the picture, with the cutting of the Ledro Valley
you see the road carved into the rock

saw a road carved into the rock, I was informed by reading the wonderful book by George Vedovelli "Lake Garda" historic artistic leadership
(book I always carry in your backpack),
talking Piero and last meeting two new friends, who live in Torbole, Elena and Cristina .. I have told everyone
"the path of Ponale. . you have to do! "

every Sunday I watched and dreamed ... and last week I asked mum and Carla ...
come with me? and they said ... siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!
morning we depart to happily Riva ..

parchieggiamo near the old power station, where the "path Giacomo Cis"

the steep and winding old road, cut into the rock, which until a few years ago brought the hanging valley of Ledro (located between Mount Cadria (m2254) and Tremalzo (m1974)

this road was opened to traffic in 1851 by removing the insulation from its valley, and carrying firewood , hay and meat to Riva.

the trail is named after James Kish, who built it.

the wishes of the path was July 14, 2004.

date not chosen by chance that the Cis 14luglio 1847 James received the approval of the imperial authorities for the construction of the road Ponale.

start from Riva San Giacomo (M88), and on a road that is still partly paved, partly dirt road you come to the country of Pregasina

m532.

is a fairly simple path with a gradient of less than 400m, up to 5km path is very difficult.

this was what I proprosto to my friends ...

I said "let's do two steps, we get up at 11, drink a beer, eat a sandwich and go home."

but it did not happen ..

the first thing we noticed was the people!

imbugato was the path of walkers, biker! it was all a move right or left .... we started to get nervous ... we who are accustomed to solitude and peace upon for mountains.

even contemplate, admire the scenery was hard, constantly had to be careful not to be overwhelmed by the biker.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
the lake view from the path

shortly after the Belvedere,

(which was built by the ancestors of Toniatti Bernardino, because people were attracted by the strength of the two waterfalls with great force dived into the lake, facing the valley.

Bortolo Toniatti opened a tavern on the road more freqquentata Ponale and built a narrow and winding up to a rock where he enjoyed the best view here and built the Belvedere, in 1900)
the side view from the Trentino Valle di Ledro, we see the Left- the Belvedere

Bortolo Toniatti

the valley view from the bridge over the waterfall Ponale

immediately after the bridge over the valley we noticed a narrow trail on the right.

always nervous, I consulatare the map and saw that there you get to Pregasina also extending a little bit from there ... .. already stretched a bit ....

the trail was not very long and the climb took us on the road that leads to Pregasina Mlini Ledro. we saw that the trail continued on the left (also called the path of Ponale) along the Ponale .. and we are on ..

according to the map we found both Biacesa (m418) that pre ledro (m476) on our right across the river .. and they did.

we did not stop at Bicesa that attracted us .. but we went to Pre (primarily for finding a bar .. they had already been 11 is the avavamo thirsty so thirsty .. .. and also some langurino ...)

Pre is delicious ... all restored here worked the forges specialized in the production of nails and broccature for shoes.

the production of these "ferarezze" was typical of the valley and established himself especially in the seventeenth century.

Pre is well known to be without electricity for almost three months of the year, because on November 11 last GGIO disappears only to reappear on 5 febbriaio, Sant'agata day: on this day we did party great - it was the "festival of the sun," with parades of floats and the crowd, while at home he was preparing the boite, a sweet benaugarante.
also have a proverb to them
"
" Three mes no sun, no moon and three mes
'without the rest
luck "

the church of Sant'Agata di Pré one of the streets of Prè

left the country of Pre (without finding a bar!) decdiamo Pregasina to point to, I say .. "go up, and at some point we must take the path going right. "
... we leave the trail in the woods is Charmful ... climb, climb ... .. but we ciacole a fatigue, sweating, spitting Balin, we get salim ...
pig cat .. but where the trail ????????
to 750mt I stop, realizing that we are completely off course ...
Pregasina is 500m and we went over ... I pull out the map and yes .. I was wrong.
carla says .. "you give is the same ... let's Leano drink beer and go back down!"
but by now we are almost there ... ..
and go with the other Balin and sbuttiamo Pontara ... .. we see a lawn come up with 4 houses .. and say ..
not mica Leano this??
at that moment arrives in a motorcycle ... ALTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT !!!!!
the stop at 3! but where we are ... where we go ...
carinisssimo shows us on the map (Leano is ... we are 4 houses?? A bar?? Noooooo!)
says .. ".. but not from the back, you go forward pass by the throat, in front of the hut Vil, step by step and then Vil Guil ... then take the path that leads down to Pregasina ... "
nice, not difficult with a gentle slope ...
okkkkkkkkk!!
turn the corner lies the village of Leano before our eyes ...
are 25 houses scattered in a green meadow, with the mountains that protect it from all sides.
quite place, smelling .. lulled by the soft wind that caresses the sun warming his face.
we fell in love instantly.
Leano of the country.

the church of St. Anthony of Padua, Leano.
continue the walk and we pass over .. the road goes up again (and yes the pitch is Vil 1224mt)
up in the woods, in the middle of the throat .... this valley called Val San Antonio.
are by now almost 13:15 ... the languarino hunger.
decide to take a short break .
eat our fingers, we drink the water (we filled the bottles near Biacesa, where we found a fountain)
View map and GPS (now I memorized the path of her going back .. ) ...
we are happy even if we miss a turn ..
we are already thinking of bringing the rest of the group ...
must see all this.
decision is strengthened more and more, go ahead ,.....
past Guil up to 1208mt, we find an intersection ...
salute 2 German bike they're going to Lake Ledro inziamo .. and down ...
out of the woods ... we have found with almost the entire lake beneath our feet.
unfortunately the Monte Baldo is hiding behind the clouds and the lake was shrouded in mist ...
but I did an overview of the same.

Panormita below to Limone and Sirmione in distance.
crocivia when we get to the second, I will cover all the camera battery .. and the rest of the image are printed only in our memory.
I found a photo taken by Torbole, toward the ridge above Limone Pregasina we did ...
but the return on the crest of the mountain was incredible ...
saw beneath our feet .... .... Navene ... Campagnola Malcesine and then later Torbole and Riva.
Above our heads towered Mount Altissimo of Nago by Path 601 is a future we want to do.
makes all the ridge down to the Most High in the center of Torbole.
after 1 hour and a half to walk down .. finally ... finally we get to Pregasina!
Panorma the bar looked like a mirage ...
we sat on the terrace, surrounded by walkers and biker ... admiring the sparkling lake below us .. we divide the sandwiches we brought ...
the Radler and coca have never been so desired!
rifuciliati, we get to drink again on the road.
slowly descend toward the shore.
talking, laughing and going over the day .. we all three agree ..
"We wanted to stay home?? And no eh !!!!"
next Monday ... .. quiet around Ferrara Montebaldo!
with friends to be happy with me lost!
so we learn the trails, so the sister teritorrio,
so we have great fun!

Brenzone

Brentwood is the largest town in the Veneto region with its 50km2

history :
The name "Brentwood" can come from the name of Brenna. They were a Germanic tribe who settled on Monte Baldo, from where they descended to the lake to plunder and to do acts of vandalismo.Dopo them came the Romans, the defense of the northern territory, which was later integrated in the Empire definitavemente . The imposing structure of the Monte Baldo and its steep slopes made for centuries the land routes virtually impossible. The development of residential areas on its slopes, therefore, it certainly was not encouraged. Important remains of the Roman period, however, unearthed over the years indicate the presence of several rural settlements in our territory, though not extended entity. The most prominent example is the discovery, in 2004, of a Roman villa at the Church of San Zeno in Castelletto, so far the only example of "home lake" Garda.I dug on the eastern shores of the first documents that prove their identity to Brenzone from the second half of the twelfth century, a period when, encouraged by the arrival in Italy of Frederick I Barbarossa, began and developed the Comuni.Durante the medieval period, and the entire area Brenzone Lake Garda came under various rulers Stately Verona, Visconti, Carrara up to the Republic of Venice. This period saw the birth of Brentwood and the consolidation of some important land owning families. Stands out among all the family of Brentwood "the Lion", whose emblem was adopted and maintained by local government as a symbol even in more recent times and to this day nostri.La narrowness and harshness of the territory of Brenzone, confined between the bank Lake Garda and the rugged and steep slopes of Monte Baldo, often cut by deep valleys and streams, account for the difficulty in obtaining land communication routes. These, in past centuries, until the first half nineteenth century, were reduced to simple paths and trails, nestled between dry stone walls, which served to connect the various settlements throughout the area. Very intense and important communications were instead produced by water vivid relationships, including family members, between the opposite shores of Lake Garda.Nell 'until the nineteenth and early twentieth century as there is tourism, the economy depended mainly by the activities of Brentwood related to land, including the rearing of silkworms, production casearea and the cultivation of olive trees, in the tradition that has remained to this day. E 'to remember the production of wood and two major products that derive from: coal and lime. For the production of the latter, mainly for "export" were used in the particular form of circular stone buildings, the 'Soccer,' still visible, scattered over our territory. The many huts in the town certainly indicate a prevalence of mountain activities, but other important sources of income for the residents of Brentwood were also fishing and boating on lago.Con completing the construction of the road Gardesana occurred between 1929 and 1930, there was a real "revolution" as regards the economy of Brentwood and the whole lake coast: the advent of tourism, which led, especially after the Second World War, a radical change in terms of all points of view.
